Classic Vacations CEO Melissa Krueger Steps Down

Melissa Krueger has stepped down as CEO of luxury vacation wholesaler Classic Vacations after nearly five years leading the company.

According to Travel Weekly, Sharon Conway, Classic Vacations’ chief financial officer, will serve as interim CEO, effective immediately.

Krueger spent 13 years at Classic Vacations, becoming CEO in 2022 after longtime chief executive David Hu left.

The company said the leadership change will not impact its strategic direction or day-to-day operations.

Before joining Classic Vacations in 2013 as sales director, Krueger spent nearly a decade at Travel Impressions.

Classic Vacations also said it will continue honoring existing agreements, programs, and commitments with travel advisors, suppliers, and consortia partners.
