Goway promoted Dean Moore to CEO after he joined the company as chief operating officer one year ago, coinciding with the company’s 55th anniversary.
“In his short tenure, Dean delivered double-digit growth, significantly streamlined operations, and transformed technology systems,” Goway said, adding that he “will now lead all Goway’s North American operations, as well as a new portfolio comprising subsidiary companies Across Australia (Sydney) and INA Prime (Manila).”
Moore brings 25 years of experience in the travel industry, having held senior roles across the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Europe. His leadership positions include executive director of Transformation at MyTravel Group, as well as chief operating officer and CEO of Thomas Cook’s North American division.
“Dean shares my ambitious vision for Goway as the leading tailor-made travel company for globetrotters,” said Bruce Hodge, Goway’s founder, who will remain president and chairman, as well as continuing to oversee Globespan Travel Management, the company’s corporate travel division.
“He has helped move the needle dramatically through his tenacious leadership and rigorous commitment to driving results. Our leadership board and I feel we have found exactly the person to propel Goway into the future,” he added.
Hodge intends to dedicate more time to philanthropy and shaping Goway’s legacy.
His inaugural storytelling initiative, “Tales from the Road,” features a new story each month, which delves into Goway’s history and Hodge’s extensive travel experiences.
“In a very short time, I’ve been incredibly impressed by the dedication and performance of Goway’s teams around the globe,” Moore said.
