Google's newest mobile app is here and it's ready to simplify your next trip.
Google Trips launched Monday on iOS and Android, combining data from Google Maps and crowdsourced reviews and information to create a personalized guide for travelers.
Details about the app first leaked this past spring, but now the speculation is over.
By accessing a user's Gmail account, the app is able to collect their hotel, flight and other travel reservations and organize them into a trip. Beyond organization, the app is an excellent source of information. Travelers can search destinations and then click on different sections including "Things to do," "food and drink" and "getting around."

The key feature is being able to access invaluable information while offline. This way users aren't reliant on Wi-Fi to solve the various problems they might encounter while visiting a new destination for the first time.
Google Trips can also make suggestions based not only on your destination, but your particular location in a city or town. The app can show you a list of the top nearby attractions based on your availability and guide you to them.
If users already know where they want to go they can build their own customized itinerary for each day of their trip, mapping out the routes they'll need to take to get from point A to point B.
