The landmark 10th
annual Travvy Awards Gala took place in Fort Lauderdale on the evening of November
7, 2024, with a host of industry suppliers, advisors and media members in
attendance.
Nominees were selected by TravelPulse’s own award-winning editorial
teams, but the winners were voted upon by an audience of travel advisors who
make their living selling these travel products and know them intimately.
Among the many
categories in which these coveted accolades were awarded was one for Tour Operators,
with prizes presented for various subdivisions, including Packaged Tours.
In
these segments, ALG
Vacations brands walked away with fully half of the prizes being given away
this year. The umbrella company consists of six distinct packaged tour brands: Apple
Vacations, Travel
Impressions, Funjet
Vacations, Southwest
Vacations, United
Vacations and Blue
Sky Tours.
ALG dominated in
the ‘Best Tour Operator (Packaged) – Overall’ category, with Apple Vacations
walking away with the Gold Travvy award, while Funjet Vacations took home Bronze
Likewise, in the ‘Best
Tour Operator (Packaged) – Family’ category, Apple Vacations was again awarded
Gold standing, with Funjet Vacations this time winning Silver.
Next came the recognitions
for excellence in serving various global regions.
For ‘Best Tour
Operator (Packaged) – Mexico’, Apple Vacations once again secured
the Gold award and Funjet Vacations again snagged Silver.
For ‘Best Tour
Operator (Packaged) – Caribbean’, Funjet Vacations moved to the forefront, claiming
the Gold Travvy, while Apple Vacations came away with Bronze.
In the ‘Best Tour
Operator (Packaged) – Europe’, Funjet Vacations won a Bronze award.
In the category of
‘Best Tour Operator (Packaged) - US/Canada’, ALG brands again dominated the
division, with Funjet Vacations securing a Silver accolade and Travel
Impressions claiming a Bronze.
Lastly, for ‘Best
Tour Operator (Packaged) – Hawaii’ United Vacations stepped in to take home the
Bronze Award.
