InsideJapan Tours, the Japan-specific tour operator in the B Corp-certified Inside Travel Group, is expanding its small group tour departure dates to record numbers this year following an unprecedented and popular 2023.

The small group tours are increasing by 83 percent, with 132 small group tour departures for 2024. Eleven different itineraries showcase the dynamic and fascinating culture, history and natural wonders of Japan’s islands.

The tours are split into four categories: All-inclusive, Superior, Classic and Essential. All are capped at fourteen travelers and range 7-14 nights long.

Inside Japan is also offering two completely new itineraries for 2024. The first, a 14-night Majestic Japan itinerary, visits Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Kinosaki Onsen, Hiroshima and Hakone. It features high-end accommodations and starts at $9,490.

The 13-night Autumn Elegance itinerary is another new one for 2024. Starting at $6,526, this itinerary visits Tokyo, Matsumoto, Takayama, Kanazawa, Kyoto and Hakone, encouraging travelers to marvel at the high-tech cities and historic small towns that coexist together in this dynamic country.

There are nine other itineraries available for 2024 and 2025, including a themed J-Pop tour and several seasonal tours offering great ways to experience the wonders of Japan's spring, autumn and winter.

“Our Small Group Tours are exactly that – small. These are not your typical tours, as they are capped at a maximum of fourteen travelers, which enable us to stay in unique, traditional ryokan guest houses, eat in small but incredible restaurants, meet local artisans in their workshops and of course travel across the country on the Shinkansen bullet train,” said Jason Martin, US Branch Director of Inside Travel Group.

“Japan never fails to deliver whether you’re a first timer or not, there’s always something new to see or experience,” continued Martin. “Each of our tours encapsulates that, offering traditional architecture, modern cities, hot spring towns, a regional dish or cultural experience not found anywhere else in the world. Our tours and Insiders are there to guide travelers smoothly through this unique country, enabling cultural interactions and adventures that could only happen in Japan.”
