ALG Vacations (ALGV) is excited to commemorate World Kindness Day today, November 13, by announcing the launch of its first annual Kindness Contribution, a new initiative designed to support travel advisors in bringing their community give-back ideas to life. This effort is part of ALGV's broader mission to champion kindness, which emphasizes three core pillars: Kindness to Ourselves, Kindness to Others, and Kindness in Travel.
“At ALG Vacations, we believe that kindness isn’t just an ideal; it’s a call to action,” said Jacki Marks, Global Head of Trade Brands. “World Kindness Day is the perfect opportunity for us to underscore our commitment to our communities, and our Kindness Contributions are a way to empower our advisors to make a tangible difference. Whether it’s a cause they’re already passionate about or a new idea they’re eager to bring to life, we want to help them take it further.”
The Kindness Contribution gift cards provide a one-time $500 award for five selected travel advisors who have a vision for creating positive change in their communities. Advisors are invited to submit their ideas through an application by Sunday, December 15, 2024, for a chance to bring their community impact project to life with support from ALG Vacations. In addition to the gift card awarded, if schedule permits, ALGV team members will offer hands-on assistance to ensure these kindness initiatives make an impact.
Selected advisors will be announced by January 6, 2024. Each Kindness Contribution recipient and their local charity or community service project will be featured in ALG Vacations' marketing and social media, amplifying their kindness journey and inspiring others to get involved.
“Through the Kindness Contributions, ALG Vacations is not only investing in our advisors but also celebrating the power of travel and community to spread kindness,” Marks added. “Our goal is to make a difference not just in the destinations we serve but also within the communities of our advisors.”
