After launching tours to Iceland in September 2017, Travel Impressions is upgrading its Scandinavia portfolio with new hotels and tours in Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
The development follows similar enhancements to the leading agent-exclusive operator's product offerings in Italy and Switzerland, as well as its introduction of off-the-beaten-path, experiential tours in the UK, France, Scotland and Iceland.
"After seeing the reaction to our Iceland launch, we realized how much potential there is for agents in the rest of the region," said Scott Wiseman, president of Travel Impressions. "Scandinavian countries account for four of the top 5 placements on the World Happiness Report-and these authentic cultural experiences will ensure client satisfaction."
In Norway, which holds the top placement on the World Happiness Report, Travel Impressions is adding the world-class Thon Hotel Oslo Panorama and luxurious Hotel Cristiana Teater in Oslo, as well as two Thon properties in Bergen-Thon Hotel Orion and Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz.
A new Fjord Excursion Cruise will take passengers through narrow sounds and idyllic bays surrounding Oslo, offering a scenic way to experience Norway's capital and many of its attractions. Travel Impressions will also begin offering a Norway in a Nutshell full-day tour, showcasing the destination's natural splendor via rail and ferry and through mountains and fjords with a self-guided itinerary roundtrip from Bergen.
Travel Impressions will offer two new properties in Denmark: the award-winning Copenhagen Admiral Hotel as well as the newly-renovated Imperial Hotel, also in the heart of Copenhagen. A newly introduced Walking Food Tour of the world's second-happiest country will take travelers' taste buds on a journey through Copenhagen's most celebrated restaurants and pubs with stops at many of the cities greatest historical landmarks.
Agents with Finland-bound clients will be excited to learn that Travel Impressions has added the Hilton Helsinki Strand near Helsinki's upbeat Kallio District as well as the Radisson Blu Plaza, a fully modernized luxury hotel which dates back to Finland's independence in 1917.
A new day cruise to Tallinn will take passengers across the Gulf of Finland to Estonia's scenic capital on the Baltic Sea, where they will experience Toompea Castle and the Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral, as well as towers and houses of guilds from the Middle Ages at a UNESCO World Heritage site dating back to the 15th century.
