Have you ever wanted to try something new and different?
Step out of the traditional vacation or cruise and see how a journey through Sri Lanka, Andaman Islands and Bangladesh can be life changing.
Silversea Cruises details the inaugural voyage to Bangladesh aboard the Silversea Discoverer.
Travel writer Karen Edwards sailed across the Bay of Bengal and chronicled her trip with Silversea.
She said she left "full with culture, adventure and extraordinary memories."
The journey began in Colombo. 88 guests boarded the Silversea Discoverer and set sail for quite the adventure.

Edwards further explained how interacting with locals on the trip made for a great time.
"The English speakers are few, but those who have studied the language at school are keen to interact, most asking me questions about my own British and Sri Lankan heritage - and, of course, for a selfie. I guess we are as much of an attraction to them, as they are to us. At one point, I hear a fellow-guest explaining to a local gentleman what a cruise is, and why people go on them. Both the storyteller and the listener are wide-eyed and interested. Suddenly the relationship with our hosts is mutual; both parties full of questions, both have a lot to learn."
Try new foods, like soft rotis and hoppers, spicy dahl and chicken curries and more. See local fishermen who are known as "otter fishermen" because they release trained otters into the river to help them round up as many fish as possible.
All this and more can be found on an incredible cruise trip through Silversea.
