Travel Tips for Going Green

Going green while traveling doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice all your favorite things or your comfort.
Even the smallest amounts of action matters.
Some small essentials that everyone could be better about during their travels include unplugging the chargers, re-using your towels, avoid using straws, throwing your trash away and recycling what you can.
Of course, there are much larger steps to take in going green.
Here are eight vital tips from Collette on ways to go green during your travels.
— Turn everything off at home
— Bring a reusable water bottle
— Save paper by using mobile tickets
— Get outside and explore
— Eat local
— Use public transportation
— Choose reusable containers
— Purchase sustainable accessories
Several stores have travel size products that are perfect for trips. However, you can go that extra mile to help save the Earth by choosing reusable containers and sustainable accessories made from recycled goods.
In using public transportation, you also get the experience of living like a local. This will lower the number of people riding around in cars to help reduce the impact motorists have on the environment.
And when you eat local, you’ll be supporting farmers by eating their freshly grown food. Plus, you’ll be saving money along the way by skipping out on the high price fancy eateries.
Whether you want to travel to extraordinary landscapes in America, savor classic cuisine or go on tours to test your courage, you can do so in an environmentally friendly way.
