We are just a few short months away from the first ever Agent@Home Travel Summits. The magazine that has played an exclusive role in helping home-based agents take their business forward brings these events to you.
Let's be clear about something as we move towards our two events this fall: There is only one Agent@Home magazine and there are only two shows that we are producing. You can register for them at The Official Agent@Home Travel Summit website and it only takes a few minutes.
The reason I say, "don't be confused" is because we have thrown our weight behind other shows in the past, many in which I have spoken at. Those days are over as we set out to create the premier events in the industry for the entrepreneurs who are changing travel distribution. You won't see me, our magazine, or my team at any other home-based show, so make it a point to join us for the official Agent@Home Travel Summits.
The Agent@Home events are addressing the same issues that the magazine set out to address, and continues to address today. The need to bring a unique perspective and approach to events that is sorely lacking in the market today, especially when it comes to travel agents who work from home. If you're going to invest time and money to be at a conference, it has to be more than walking a floor or listening to a canned presentation. It has to be interactive and provide takeaways that can be put into action.
It comes down to content. The agenda for the event clearly shows how we will zero in on the issues that hold travel agents back. It's not good enough to say, "Connect with people in your local market" or "Build a niche," as many so-called pundits do.
That's like a coach telling a team to "go out and score more points than the other team". Agents have been told the "what" for years and years at various events. They need to know the "how" in order to get moving and get it done. That's what we will focus on at this September's events.
So take a few minutes to take advantage of the early bird registration rate for one of our two events: Sept. 15-18 in Long Beach, Calif. and Sept. 29-Oct. 2 in Atlantic City, N.J.
So join me and I promise you an event to remember. You'll come away energized and ready to take your business to a whole new level.
