Azamara is an up-market cruise line specializing in Destination Immersion. It is aimed at discerning travelers who long to reach out-of-the-ordinary destinations and indulge in amenities and service unparalleled on the high seas. The cruise line offers butler service in every suite and shore excursions designed to let guests become part of life in each destination, instead of just an observer. Azamara consists of three 690-guest ships - Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest and Azamara Pursuit - with a fourth, Azamara Onward, joining the fleet in May 2022. The ships recently underwent a $17.5 million revitalization. The name Azamara is a coined term derived from the Romance languages. This includes links to blue (az) and the sea (mar). The name was also inspired by a star, Acamar.
