Xcaret has 38 horses on hand, ranging from quarter horse, criollo horse, Spanish mustang and Azteca breed. The horses can eat up to 40 pounds of food a day.
As per tradition, they're all given Mayan names, like Pixam and Yumkax for example.
The horses are given a bath every day, and they get their hair braided before the different performances.
