Exploring the city of Nassau is a must as well. After all, it's important to immerse your family the cultural surroundings and going beyond the beach is a great way to do just that.
Take a blast to the past and visit the forts of Nassau. The kids will love climbing these old structures, some of which date back to the 1700s.
The city is also home to the Pirates of Nassau Museum, which holds a replica pirate ship the kids are going to want to see. Plus, Graycliff Chocolatier is nearby, where parents are encouraged to join their children in creating their very own chocolate treats.
For the kids who love animals, consider a horseback ride along the beach or head over to the Ardastra Gardens & Zoo.
Another fun activity for parents and kids can team up for is an island excursion. Visit and feed the swimming pigs on the island of Big Major Cay or go on an adventure to uninhabited, private island of Sandy Toes Rose Island.
