Cruise lines continue to up the ante when it comes to entertaining passengers at sea.
The latest example is Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas. It’s the largest cruise ship in the world for now, but the levels of entertainment options onboard make this ship stand out.
The Wizard of Oz performance was Broadway-level and then some. Live musicians playing instruments coupled with high-tech visuals, exceptional costumes and so much more bring together a show that is like no other. Spoiler alert: Dorothy and Toto fly over the audience in spectacular fashion.
Icon of the Seas also has the AquaDome, six record-breaking waterslides, the ice shows and live music all around.
It’s just the latest move in the battle to keep guests happy onboard and to keep them coming back.
Throw in roller coasters at sea from Carnival, go-karts with Norwegian, dinner-themed shows with Marvel and Frozen from Disney and so much more around the industry, there’s enough to go around for every type of traveler.
These major cruise lines trying to outduel each other is a massive win for the consumer.
