Bowman’s Travel Brief: When Things Go Wrong

This week’s column was supposed to have a different topic. I was supposed to be flying down to Puerto Rico for ASTA Global Convention today.

But a few days ago, things went wrong.

Unfortunately, I’m stuck at home dealing with the aftermath of a pipe bursting in the middle of the night when I wasn’t home, which lead to my entire downstairs being flooded.

That’s life though.

Things can go wrong in an instant. It’s the way we react and handle these situations that will shape how things get resolved.

When it comes to travel, the best way to ensure things won’t be so bad if something does go wrong is to have travel insurance and also to work with a travel advisor.

Both are going to provide peace of mind throughout your trip.

Everyone should be well aware now that life is short, and we shouldn’t take things for granted.

The pandemic changed so much in our lives. It continues to change and reshape the travel industry.

We know that things can go wrong and often do. Flight delays and cancellations happen more than they should, we know that.
