Bio
In 2015 Rob Keen co-founded Project Expedition with Jeremy Clement. Project Expedition is a platform for Travel Advisors to plan and book high-quality day tours, activities, transfers, and shore excursions around the world. Rob has taken a leading role in developing the technical, supply, and sales side of the business.
As of 2025, Project Expedition is proud to be affiliated with all major consortia in the US and is viewed as a viable alternative to major companies within the space. Prior to launching Project Expedition, there was not a platform that solely focused on supporting Travel Advisors with planning, booking, and earning commission on day tours / activities / shore excursions / and transfers. Keen and Clement built their product by listening and constantly innovating based on advisor feedback, from the destinations they expanded to, the tools/functionality they built to help advisors save time.
Since its launch, Project Expedition has gained preferred status with major host agencies within the US and Canada, including major consortia - Travel Leaders, Virtuoso, Signature, Ensemble, Travelsavers, WESTA, MAST. It’s also won Best Specialty Supplier of the year awards from major agencies including Nexion, and The Travel Agent Next Door.
Rob is 38 years old.
"Being named to the TravelPulse 40 Under 40 is an incredible honor and a reminder of why I’m so passionate about this industry — connecting people to meaningful travel experiences around the world," said Rob. "I’m grateful to be recognized alongside such inspiring leaders who are shaping the future of travel."

“It is with great pride that I recommend Rob Keen, the co-owner of Project Expedition (PE). Having worked closely with Rob for the past four years in a leadership role at PE, I have seen firsthand the qualities that set him apart as a truly exceptional leader, innovator, and mentor at a young age,” said Hamish Gordon at Project Expedition.
“When I joined PE, the company was small, with only six team members. Coming from over 20 years at a major cruise line, this was a significant change. Yet Rob’s vision, standards, and goals immediately aligned with my own, and I made the decision to join PE, a decision I have never looked back on. I believe any team member would say the same, because it is Rob’s leadership, energy, and integrity that make the company such a compelling place to work.
“Today, PE has grown to over 50+ team members across two countries and partnered with all major consortiums, a direct result of Rob’s leadership and reputation in the industry. Many of these partnerships exist because of Rob’s relentless commitment to delivering the highest level of service to travel advisor partners. He consistently engages with every client, from small independent agencies in rural areas to major consortia, ensuring their needs are met and that PE delivers on its promise of exceptional service. Rob’s hands-on approach has strengthened client loyalty, driven consistent year-over-year growth, and reflects the standards he and his co-owner, Jeremy, set when they opened PE’s doors 10 years ago.
“Rob drives innovation across the company. He has an exceptional ability to anticipate industry trends and turn challenges into opportunities. Under his guidance, we have expanded into new markets (mutildays, transfers, custom & groups), developed forward-thinking strategies, and established PE as a leader in our field.
“What Rob may not always recognize is the profound impact he has on his team’s lives. He naturally mentors, instilling confidence in people to step into new roles and challenges, often before they recognize their own potential. Earlier this year, he promoted several team members to team lead roles, a decision that directly reflects his ability to see potential in people and provide opportunities they might not have received elsewhere. Under Rob’s guidance, these team members have grown into confident, capable, and inspired professionals,” finished Gordon.
“It is my great honor to write a letter of recommendation for Rob Keen, founder of Project Expedition, for the TravelPulse Top 40 Under 40 awards,” said Sandy Saburn, CTIE Chief Communications Officer, Gifted Travel Network. “I started working with Rob in 2018 and his company and ours have grown together.
“Our advisors love working with Project Expedition and consider PE to be their number one go-to for tours and transportation for their clients. Over the past few years under Rob’s leadership the company has grown, providing more for our advisors’ clients. They are incredibly responsive to advisor input and suggestions, and their customer service is outstanding. Rob’s dedication to travel advisors is more than just lip-service, he exclusively works with travel advisors and that’s a huge statement of commitment to our industry. I wholeheartedly endorse Rob for this recognition as he is exactly the type of leader we need to ensure our industry’s vibrant future.”
