Southwest Airlines announced Thursday that it is extending its booking schedule through Nov. 4 and adding seven new nonstop routes.
According to a press release, the company said its new routes, which will begin Aug. 7, will fly between the following cities: Los Angeles - Pittsburgh; Ontario, Calif. - Portland, Ore.; Burbank, Calif. - Portland, Ore.; Sacramento - Baltimore/Washington (BWI); Nashville - Charlotte; San Diego - Milwaukee; and Ft. Lauderdale - Nassau, The Bahamas.

"These time-saving routes connect our Customers in long-time Southwest cities with faster travel times with our unmatched Customer Service," David Harvey, Southwest's managing director of business development, said in the release. "Each addition also enhances our schedule while addressing business demand."

Southwest also announced that it will extend its seasonal nonstop service of the following routes to year-round service: Houston Hobby - Seattle/Tacoma; Houston Hobby - Portland, Ore.; Kansas City - Seattle/Tacoma; and San Diego - St. Louis.
