With Thanksgiving in the books and the calendar set to flip to December, hotels across America are rolling out special Christmas packages and pulling out all the stops to help get guests in the holiday spirit.

From eye-popping seasonal attractions to one-of-a-kind holiday experiences, the hotel industry is doing its best to light up the season.

Life-Size Gingerbread Houses

Chefs at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino bring together 15 pounds of sugar, a gallon and a half of molasses and 45 pounds of flour each year to create a life-size gingerbread house. Available from late November to early January and located in the hotel's lobby, the house is big enough for guests to walk through.

Visitors can also experience a life-size gingerbread house for the holidays inside Arizona's Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch (pictured above).

Upside Down Christmas Tree Display

Boston's The Liberty, a Luxury Collection Hotel literally takes Christmas to new heights each year with the installation of half of a dozen nine-foot upside down Christmas trees inside of its lobby rotunda.

Altogether, the display features 1,500 Christmas tree lights and more than 700 tiny glass cluster ornaments.

Ice Sculptures

Nashville's Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is bringing back its signature attraction for 2016. This year's ICE indoor winter wonderland will feature hand-carved ice sculptures inspired by the beloved holiday classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

More than two million pounds of ice will be utilized.

Breakfast With Santa Claus

Families staying at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina on Maryland's eastern shore this time of year can eat breakfast with St. Nicholas himself and even arrange to be tucked in by one of his elves.

There's also story time, milk and cookies to complete the authentic experience.

Holiday Light Shows

Idaho's Coeur d'Alene Resort boasts one of the best holiday light shows in America. The Christmas display is the largest on-the-water holiday light show in the U.S. and is available from Thanksgiving to New Year's, with guests able to view more than 1.5 million lights.

Visitors can also take a lake cruise to Santa Claus' North Pole workshop.
