Sometimes getting to your vacation destination is so stressful, you wonder why you decided to go in the first place. Thankfully, there are a few travel hacks from 22 Words that can keep you sane and help you get on your way with as little stress as possible.

"No more hyperventilating in the airport bathroom. Get ready for your life to change," writes Robin Zlotnick.

One way to start is to save on flights by using Google Chrome.

"When you're booking flights, be sure to clear your cookies or go "incognito" if you're using Google Chrome. Travel sites will often track your visits and can raise the prices on you just because you've visited their site before," writes Zlotnick.

It may be a bummer to start your vacation in the wee hours of the morning, but Zlotnick recommends flying then - and for good reason.

"Turbulence and storms usually occur in the afternoon, so if you like your flights smooth, it's best to fly early in the morning," Zlotnick says, also noting that early-morning flights can be cheaper, too.

Packing can also be a total downer. It's always difficult to decide what to bring and luggage size is now almost always an issue. Zlotnick suggests bringing an infinity scarf due to its endless adaptability and also bringing dark-colored clothing.

"Dark clothes will most likely match, so you can create different outfits easily, and they hide dirt and stains better," she says.

She also recommends putting your socks in your shoes.

"Preserve the shape of your shoes and save suitcase space by stuffing your socks into your shoes," Zlotnick recommends.

When it comes to packing liquids, she suggests using saran wrap on lids to prevent spills and, if you are really stressed, you can always stash away some mini filled with booze.

"Baby bottles of alcohol contain fewer than three ounces of liquid, meaning they can waltz easily through security," she says.
