In addition to adding a second ship to the Rhône River in 2028, ms Harmonie, which will join ms Lumière, Tauck also unveiled three new itineraries on the waterway.
“The Rhône has a way of drawing people in, and we’ve been hearing from guests and advisors that they want more ways to experience it,” said Tauck CEO Jennifer Tombaugh.
“For some, that’s a first introduction in a week; for others, it’s two weeks following the river from Barcelona through Burgundy to Lyon,” she added. “With the ms Harmonie joining the ms Lumière, more of our guests can say yes.”
The Three New 2028 Voyages
The new itineraries include the six-day “Essence of Rhône” cruise, which will sail between Lyon and Arles; the eight-day “A Week On... the Rhône” aboard ms Lumièri itinerary, which will also cruise between Lyon and Arles; and the 14-day “Barcelona, Burgundy & the Rhône” voyage, which couples a three-night hotel stay in Barcelona with a nine-night river cruise between Barcelona and Lyon.
Amenities and Wellness Focus
“France remains one of Tauck’s most popular river cruise destinations, and the 2028 collection builds on that investment,” the company said. “Like the ms Lumière, the ms Harmonie will feature a spacious Sun Deck and The Retreat, a dedicated space for fitness and relaxation.”
“That focus on well-being extends to the itineraries themselves,” Tauck added.
The company has confirmed “five Wellness Departures for 2028 across a broader range of itineraries, following the first two departures aboard the ms Serene in 2027.”
New 2028 Rhine River Departure
In other 2028 river cruise developments, Tauck will also add select 11-day “Rhine Enchantment, Italian Lakes to Amsterdam” departures, due to the popularity of the existing “Rhine Enchantment, Milan to Amsterdam” itinerary.
