Stockholm, Sweden

Picnic in the Park

2/21
Did you know that Stockholm only gets 6 hours of average daylight in the wintertime? So when it's finally sunny, Swedes really make the most of it by spending every minute soaking up the warm daytime. If it's a nice day, make sure to buy a sandwich and take it to your nearest park, you'll probably find half of the city waiting there for you.

Eat Some Seafood

3/21
Any place that has "crayfish parties" must have great seafood. There are numerous world-class restaurants where you can eat fresh salmon, prawns, or mussels, but if you happen to be in Sweden during the summertime, order crayfish. Most popular in August, Swedes regularly host gatherings with friends and family to celebrate the changing seasons and enjoy some crayfish.

Take a Boat Tour

4/21
Built on a collection of islands, there aren't many better ways to see the city of Stockholm than by boat. Take a city boat tour, or venture out to sea to explore the Stockholm archipelago comprising thousands of islands. You can stop at uninhabited natural hideaways, or visit the sophisticated Sandhamn island.

See the Cherry Blossoms Bloom

Cherry blossoms bloom all over the country in the spring, but the most visited place to these pink flowers is located in Stockholm. If you want to see gorgeous uniform rows of cherry blossoms forming a beautiful pink canopy, visit Stockholm's Kungsträdgården. Additionally, there's an annual Japanese festival taking place in April in the central park.

Listen to ABBA

Regardless of your taste in music, a visit to the ABBA museum is a fun and interactive experience that gives you a look into one of Sweden's favorite cultural icons.
