Europe for Less

The U.K.'s Post Office has published its 2019 City Costs Barometer, revealing Europe's most affordable destinations based on travel costs such as hotel stays, dining and attractions. Total costs do not include airfare, however. While coveted cities such as Reykjavik, Amsterdam and Copenhagen rank among the most expensive places to visit, the continent is loaded with wallet-friendly destinations. Here are the 20 most affordable right now.

1. Vilnius, Lithuania

2/21
Exploring Lithuania's capital city will only set you back about $192, including two-night accommodations at a three-star hotel and a sightseeing city bus tour. It helps that some popular attractions like the Church of St. Anne are free to experience.

2. Belgrade, Serbia

3/21
You can also plan a getaway to Belgrade for under $200 after airfare. The Serbian capital is slightly more pricey when it comes to accommodations but you can purchase a bottle of local beer for as little as $2.50.
