The American Society of Travel Advisors' (ASTA) Report a Hotel tool has achieved a new milestone.
On Monday, the organization announced that it has recovered more than $45,000 in unpaid hotel commissions for travel advisors since the tool was first launched last October.
ASTA is now nearly halfway to its 2026 goal of recovering $100,000 in unpaid hotel commissions.
ASTA also announced the quarterly public release of its Hotel Watch List. The list of more than three dozen non-member properties is publicly available for a two-week period to increase transparency and encourage broader industry accountability. Before a hotel is added to the list, ASTA notifies the property in writing and provides an opportunity to resolve the issue through its business-to-business dispute resolution process. If resolution isn't reached within 30 days, a hotel is added to the watch list. The Hotel Watch List will be publicly available now through Monday, June 29.
