As part of KHM Travel Group’s ongoing commitment to
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I), the host agency has released a new
online library to assist and support its over 5,000 independent travel advisors
across the U.S. in selling travel to diverse clients.
The library can be found in KHM Travel Group’s exclusive
Agent Portal and includes a social media graphics library, inclusive language
glossary, resources categorized by topic and links to additional ways agents
can connect about DE&I issues. The goal of this extensive project is to
expand agents’ understanding of these issues, and help them grow their
businesses.
“Our ‘People First’ Core Value has driven our efforts to
make KHM Travel Group an inclusive, supportive, and safe environment for our
corporate team members, independent agents, and the clients we serve. In
building a culture that respects and embraces DE&I, we realized there was a
need for a central location for agents to access diversity education and
marketing information,” said Vice President of Agent Engagement Bill Coyle.
He added, “Our new DE&I Resource Library is one of the
ways we’ve invested in bringing awareness to these essential topics that impact
millions of travelers.”
The DE&I Resource Library combines supplier information,
KHM Travel Group resources, professional organizations, certification programs,
and reading recommendations.
Current topics include Accessibility, LGBTQ+, Race and
Ethnicity, and Religion and Faith. Future categories will consist of
information on Military and Public Service and Women and Families as ongoing
efforts to share the latest information continue.
In addition to learning opportunities through the resource
library, KHM Travel Group Agents can also build their knowledge by
participating in the private DE&I Agent Facebook Group, watching the
Expanding the Lens segments on KHM Today, and reading the monthly
DE&I-focused e-newsletter.
