Starting in October, budget travelers will have a host of new options for booking affordable domestic flights.
Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines is rolling out a significant network expansion, launching 15 new routes this fall. Among the new offerings are new destinations in Texas, Virginia, and the airline’s return to the Tulsa, Oklahoma, market.
“With new destinations and routes from coast to coast launching this October, consumers will have even more affordable flight options to choose from as they plan their travel through 2025 and into the new year,” said Josh Flyr, Frontier’s vice president of network and operations design. “With new destinations in Texas and Virginia, our return to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and new routes between several of our top cities, now is a better time than ever for consumers to give Frontier a try and experience the comfort, convenience and savings we are known for.”
On October 9, Frontier will begin twice-weekly service to Corpus Christie, Texas—a brand new point on its route map—from its hub at Denver International Airport (DEN). Starting October 12, it will also resume twice-weekly flights to Tulsa from Denver, a route it previously suspended in 2022 due to a fleet shortage that year.
On October 17, the carrier will begin serving Richmond, Virginia, for the first time with new twice-weekly flights from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL).
Frontier operates an all-Airbus fleet, featuring two types of single-aisle planes: the Airbus A320 and A321. Each plane offers standard economy seating, premium extra legroom seats, and a new product called Upfront Plus, which offers extra legroom and a blocked middle seat in the first two rows of the aircraft. The carrier plans to launch larger first-class seats by the end of 2025.
Other notable routes in Frontier’s upcoming fall expansion include new service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Denver and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) launching on October 8; twice-weekly flights between Dallas-Fort Worth and Charleston, South Carolina, starting on October 9; and weekly flights from St. Louis to Tampa, launching October 11.
Tickets on all the new routes are on sale now, and introductory fares are as cheap as $29 one-way.
