American Airlines is launching service to Caracas, Venezuela for the first time in seven years, with tickets on sale for purchase now.
The service begins April 30, and will be operated by Envoy, a subsidiary of American, on an Embraer 175 dual-class aircraft.
The new route will fly between Miami, Florida (MIA) and Caracas, Venezuela (CCS) once daily.
American operated flights to Venezuela in 1987 and stopped in 2019. The airline announced its intention to restart operations to Venezuela just weeks after the Trump Administration’s military operations to capture Venezuelan President Maduro back in January, 2026.
Following the announcement that American had applied with the government to restart operations, the United States’ State Department reduced its travel advisory warning for Venezuela from a Level 4, urging all Americans not to travel there, to a Level 3, urging them to reconsider any planned travel to Venezuela.
