Union now!
Flight attendants
at Breeze Airways announced their campaign to form a union with the Association
of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA).
The union
represents more than 50,000 flight attendants at 19 airlines.
Breeze has
more than 600 eligible members.
"Breeze Flight Attendants
deserve the certainty of a union contract and respect on the job," said
AFA International President Sara Nelson.
"We're proud to welcome them
to our Flight Attendant Union, and we're ready to help them secure everything
they deserve," Nelson continued.
The union will have several items
on its agenda with the flight attendants, including pay, hotel accommodations
and fluctuating schedules.
Breeze flight attendants will file for
an election with the National Mediation Board (NMB).
The airline itself is less than
three years old.
