This summer, travelers who would like to sample dishes from some of New York City’s most popular restaurants simply need to step aboard a plane.
Starting in late July, New York-based carrier JetBlue is launching a lineup of new in-flight dining menus from top restaurants across Brooklyn and Manhattan in its Mint business class.
Mint passengers will see the first wave of new dishes roll out on July 31, with menus from modern American restaurant Crown Shy, which is located in Lower Manhattan and has one Michelin star, as well as pastries and breakfast favorites from Williamsburg-based bakery Birdie.
Among the new onboard selections are Birdie’s bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, as well as Crown Shy’s signature citrus-marinated chicken and pork katsu. The new options are part of a just-launched culinary partnership with Kent Hospitality Group.
In early 2027, JetBlue will revamp its menu again, adding even more dishes from iconic Brooklyn eateries Red Hook Tavern and Hometown Bar-B-Que as part of a new partnership with Four Clovers Hospitality Group.
“We look for brands that create experiences people genuinely want to be a part of, where the hospitality, the energy and the attention to detail are just that special,” said Stephanie Evans Greene, JetBlue’s senior vice president of marketing and brand. “Partnering with Kent and Four Clovers allows us to bring that same excitement and exploratory spirit onboard Mint in a way only JetBlue can.”
The carrier has long focused on bringing authentic New York restaurants on board for its customers in Mint. Past menus have included famous dishes from NYC restaurants like Charlie Bird, Legacy Records, and Pasquale Jones.
