Travel Planners International (TPI), one of the travel industry’s leading host agencies, has announced the promotion of long-time executive Dennis Aguilar to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Business Operations. In this expanded leadership role, Aguilar will oversee the company’s technology, finance, and business operations while helping guide TPI through its next phase of innovation and growth.
Aguilar recently celebrated 19 years with TPI and has played an integral role in the company’s evolution. Building on his previous position as Vice President of Finance and Technology, he will now lead day-to-day business operations and spearhead the implementation of the new TERN platform, which will power TPI’s next-generation back-office operations.
The expanded role also reflects TPI’s continued investment in its future and its commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and building the infrastructure needed to support the continued success of its growing advisor community. As the company grows, Aguilar will help build and lead additional operational teams to support expanding services and deliver an even stronger experience for advisors.

Based in Miami, Florida, Aguilar joined TPI in 2007 in the Accounting Department. Through nearly two decades of service, he has advanced through a series of leadership positions—including Accounting Manager, Director of Finance, Vice President of Finance and Technology, and now Senior Vice President of Business Operations—reflecting both his commitment to the company and his broad operational expertise.
