A man traveling through a Miami airport was caught on camera sneaking through a security checkpoint before ultimately making it onto the tarmac and getting arrested.
According to the Miami Herald, a source revealed closed-circuit footage of an unidentified man walking into an unattended security line at the American Airlines ticket counter at Miami International Airport Saturday.
The man was pretending to be on a cell phone when he jumped through a luggage conveyor belt to bypass security. After making it past the security gate, he traveled through a highly restricted area which many employees reportedly can't even access.
Eventually, the man made it through an exit door onto the runway and airport ramp.
"Had there been a plane at that gate, this individual could have entered the plane or had access to the aircraft," the anonymous source told the Miami Herald. "This is a very restricted area, only accessible to some with very limited access, and he was able to gain access. Very concerning."

Airport employees wearing neon vests saw the man once he entered the tarmac and swarmed, bringing him to the ground and restraining him. A police officer was quickly on the scene and placed the intruder in handcuffs.
A spokesperson for Miami International Airport said the incident is still under investigation.
