Tokyo Disneyland is preparing to bring the world of Wreck-It
Ralph to life with a new interactive attraction scheduled to open in April
2027.
Dubbed Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue, the new attraction is set
to debut on April 15, making it the first ride in the world themed around the
popular Walt Disney Animation Studios film.
The attraction will take guests inside the candy-themed
Sugar Rush racing game, where they will team up with Ralph, Vanellope, and
their friends to stop King Candy from taking over the video game world.
Travelers visiting the theme park will use scanners inside
ride vehicles to eliminate Sugar Bugs and earn points throughout the
experience.
Guests can check their scores on onboard screens, with
results temporarily available through the Tokyo Disney Resort app. Photos taken
during the ride will also be accessible through the app.
Additional experiences will arrive ahead of the attraction’s
debut, including a new Sugar-Lime popcorn flavor on March 17 and themed
decorations beginning on February 18.
A smartphone mini-game will also launch on January 12.
