Operations at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport will be “significantly impacted” by President Trump’s June 14 military parade that celebrates the 250th anniversary of the creation of the U.S. Army along with Donald Trump’s 79th birthday.

According to the airport website, vehicle and airline traffic will be impacted. Aircraft flyovers and a fireworks display will force the FAA to suspend airline operations at DCA. The airport recommends using the Metrorail to reach the airport, and to expect road closures along the parade route.

“Customers with flight reservations for the evening of June 14 should check the status of their flights directly with their airline,” said the notice.

USA Today noted the FAA has not yet put the flight restrictions in place, but that the FAA will soon provide more details on the matter.

"The FAA will implement traffic management initiatives (TMI) at DCA before, during, and after the event to ensure safety and will facilitate a return to normal operations once the event concludes," the FAA said in a statement to USA Today. "During the peak of the celebration, the TMI stops all arrivals and departures."

According to The Washington Post, aviation analytics firm Cirium expects about 65 arrivals and 35 departures scheduled that evening between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

The Potomac River will also be closed off for security.

The military parade, which has received mixed reactions, is expected to cost an estimated $25 to $45 million.

The parade will feature a fireworks display, a military parade with tanks and troops and 50 Army helicopters. The Army’s Golden Knights are also planned to parachute onto the Ellipse, near the White House, and present Trump with an American flag.
