It now OK to troll Southwest Airlines.
Southwest Airlines this week unveiled its latest promotional tie-in by changing the livery of one of its planes to feature trolls from the new DreamWorks Animation film, ‘Trolls Band Together.’
The movie has generated a lot of buzz since it features a new song from the reunited boy band from the 1990s, N’Sync.
Not only are there characters emblazoned on the outside of the plane, there are several window shades inside the Boeing 737-700 that also feature the characters.
"Southwest celebrates travel and meaningful connections made along the way, which is at the center of the 'Trolls Band Together' partnership and a core storyline of the film," Brandy King, Managing Director of Communications at Southwest Airlines, said in a statement. "As the airline with Heart, we're inspired by the uplifting mantra of the film and value the opportunity to take our Customers to their version of a 'better place,' whether that's home to see family or setting out on their own new adventure."
The airline is also sponsoring a Trolls-themed customer sweepstakes getaway to Los Angeles, with roundtrip air travel provided by Southwest to see "Trolls Band Together."
The film is set to be released on November 17.
The airline also plans to show the first two films in the franchise on select flights and will have special pop-ups in some planes and at airports.
