Air travel delays are the worst.
However, under the heading of 'making the best of a bad situation,' one Spirit Airlines employee helped lighten the mood during a recent delay at Myrtle Beach International Airport.
When a group of cheerleaders decided to pass the time by dancing and practicing a routine in the terminal during the wait for their flight back to New Jersey, the Spirit gate agent jumped in to join them.
"They just started playing music really loudly, and people were dancing along," Spirit guest services agent Robert Dillon told Yahoo Lifestyle. "It was getting to the point where I couldn't make the delay announcement."
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
Dillon, 26, had no problem recognizing the songs "The Cupid Shuffle" and "Wobble Baby." He also works as activities coordinator at a kid-friendly Myrtle Beach resort in addition to his job with Spirit.
For its part, Spirit loved it. The airline tweeted: "Our flights are mostly on time, but when they aren't...we make the best of it! Huge shout out to Robert Dillon at @flyMYR who kept our Guests entertained while they patiently waited to board their flight! #WhenLifeGivesYouLemons @AC_Airport
