A man who booked two seats for himself on a Spirit Airlines plane says the carrier embarrassed and humiliated him after it gave away one of his seats on an overbooked flight.
According to Fox17's official website, Jose Cordova said he bought two seats on the Spirit Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Denver due to his size.
He has flown in the past and purchased two seats to make himself more comfortable and avoid any issues with surrounding passengers.
Cordova purchased two tickets on both the flight to and from Las Vegas. While he faced no issues during the journey to Nevada, the return to Colorado didn't go as smoothly: He claims Spirit Airlines oversold the flight and took one of his seats without asking him.
"I had told them that I bought two seats, (they said) we'll take it up after, talk to them when you get off the plane," Cordova told Fox17.
After he questioned one of the flight attendants about the booking issue, he was removed from the plane because he was unwilling to take a voucher offered to him for a later flight.

Since Cordova's story broke, he was contacted by an official from Spirit Airlines who apologized about the incident and said a formal investigation into what happened was underway.
In addition, the airline refunded the cost of his flights.
