Thomas Cook Airlines is spreading its wings.
The British airlines announced a new direct flight from Seattle to Manchester beginning May 27. The seasonal route, which runs through September 20, 2018, is in addition to the year-round, non-stop flight from Seattle to Frankfurt operated by sister carrier Condor Airlines.
"We are thrilled to welcome this new service from Thomas Cook Service," said Port of Seattle Commission President Courtney Gregoire. "This demonstrates our growing significance as an international destination and creates new opportunities for our region's travelers and businesses. Not to mention, the sports fans will now connect their love of the Seattle Sounders FC with one of the legendary UK football cities!"
The flight will leave Seattle at 4:25 p.m., arriving one day later in Manchester at 9:30 a.m., while the return flight will depart Manchester at 12:55 p.m. and arrives in Seattle at 2:25 p.m. Introductory fares from Seattle to Manchester in economy class start as low as $569.99. Passengers traveling on the new route will receive free checked baggage as well as complimentary meals prepared by U.K. celebrity chef, James Martin, and in-flight entertainment.
