New York City is that perfect destination to enjoy a long, luxurious vacation or just 15 minutes of relaxing respite.
It's the latter that we will concentrate on with the latest in our line of Business Casual entries.
For the uninitiated, take a gander at such locations as London, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
This week we will take a look at a small portion of famed Fifth Avenue, which offers a 30-minute walk between the Empire State Building and Central Park, replete with opportunities to turn that brief amount of time between meetings into an impromptu holiday.
And by all means, if you have suggestions for this temporary sojourn, holler back accordingly.
The Empire State Building:
While it does offer some of the best views of the city, the line to get to the top is usually long, so plan on this eating up your precious time.
However, on that rare occasion that you can slip in fairly quickly you will get some awe-inspiring beauty.
The New York Public Library:
As you head north you will pass various shops and eating opportunities and pass by an iconic façade that has featured in various movies.
Stepping into the New York Public Library you will find there is so much more, including various exhibitions.
Rockefeller Center:
By now you are deep in one of many truly remarkable parts of the city. Rockefeller Center boasts an observation deck, NBC tours, nearby Radio City Music Hall and countless opportunities for some amazing sights and sounds.
St. Patrick's Cathedral:
Some cities offer more in a short distance than others. By now you have undoubtedly realized that a business trip to New York City can, in just a few short blocks, deliver a wallop of amazing landmarks.
MOMA:
As you quickly realize, there are plenty of commercial stops that demand your attention on this quick amble about town.
Headed north you will run into the renowned Museum of Modern Art, which is on 53rd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenue.
Tiffany & Co.
Whether to window shop for something pretty or drop some serious coin, this is your famed place of choice.
The Plaza:
You can stop by and gawk at this renowned hotel you know so well from pop culture or you can head inside for a drink at its lavish bar.
In either case, the end of this brief jaunt is near.
Central Park:
There is no better place in the city to unwind than Central Park, which is beautiful no matter the time of year.
And the above is really just a list of suggestions for cultural curios that will hopefully make their way into your busy schedule.
