Amtrak has announced the launch of a special Auto Train offer for travelers looking to take a non-stop trip to Florida this fall.
Customers who purchase one regular full adult ticket for the Amtrak Auto Train now through July 31 for travel between Sept. 1 and Sept. 30 will receive 50 percent off companion rail fare as part of the offer.
In addition, up to two children aged two-to-12 will be eligible for half-priced tickets when accompanied by an adult. This is a limited-time offer, and seating and space is limited on the Amtrak Auto Train.
Customers are asked to use promotional code C207 when purchasing tickets for the train.
Amtrak has daily routes that depart from both Lorton, Virginia, and Sanford, Florida, near Orlando, to help travelers avoid the traffic congestion associated with I-95. The Auto Train allows passengers to travel with their personal vehicles, including cars, vans, SUVs, motorcycles and even small boats.
The Amtrak Auto Train is the longest passenger train in the world, and features amenities such as complimentary meals, free Wi-Fi, wide seats, expansive leg and headroom and electrical outlets at every seat.
