Avis Budget Group and Wyndham Hotel Group announced Monday that the two companies have expanded on their existing relationship by signing a multi-year partnership agreement.
In the new deal, Wyndham Rewards members will now be able to get double the points previously earned per day on eligible Avis Car Rental and Budget Car Rental purchases, with a limit of 100 points daily.
Not only will membership in the Wyndham Rewards program offer greater access to money-saving offers, but it will also give members the option of converting the points into rental certificates, starting with as few as 6,500 points.
Avis Budget Group vice president Tom Villani released a statement about the new deal:
"The new Wyndham Rewards program makes it easier than ever for members to earn and redeem points for meaningful rewards. We're thrilled that Wyndham Rewards has selected Avis Budget Group as its exclusive car rental provider. The expanded relationship will help generate incremental rental volume while giving Wyndham Rewards members an even more rewarding rental experience."
In addition to the 100 points Wyndham Rewards members can earn daily, customers who make eligible Avis and Budget rentals can receive up to 30 percent off their purchase and an additional 750 to 1,000 reward points.
