Tourism in Nashville, Tennessee, is booming, as all three Enterprise Holdings subsidiaries are reporting double-digit increases in car rental transactions this year.
In a report from Enterprise Holdings, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands have seen more customers at Nashville International Airport thus far in 2015 as compared to last year.
In addition, neighborhood locations in and around Nashville are also reporting an increase.
The success for Enterprise in Tennessee is not a surprise for the company, especially since it operates 43 rental locations in the greater Nashville area. Add in the fact that the brands will be opening several more facilities in the next year, and the commitment to the region is strong.
Enterprise Holdings' Nashville vice president Darren Gottschalk spoke about the company's impact on the region:
"We view an increase in rentals at our airport branches as a strong indicator of increasing business and leisure travel in Nashville. We're enhancing services for our customers, while also simultaneously creating jobs, using local vendors, stimulating economic growth and making our local operations more sustainable."
In Cool Springs, Tennessee, Enterprise will be adding a new location that will offer the Exotic Car Collection in addition to the standard services. On the other hand, Enterprise is staying committed to Nashville by planning for new Enterprise Truck Rental and Enterprise CarShare facilities in the city.
As if the contributions to the city by adding locations and jobs weren't enough, Enterprise has also contributed a total of $23 million to the region. Enterprise paid $13.5 million in state and local taxes, $8 million at local body shops and maintenance facilities, $1.1 million in companywide purchases from Nashville area supplies and more.
