Hertz Offers Free Car Rentals to Help Voters Get to the Polls for Election Day

Election Day in the United States is right around the corner and Hertz wants to help get out the vote.

The nationwide rental car company announced a ‘Free Day on Election Day’ promotion today, which will allow customers one day free on a rental of two consecutive days or more.

“With thousands of neighborhood locations nationwide, Hertz is making reliable transportation more affordable for people without a car or those who need one for early voting or Election Day,” the company said in a statement.

The offer is good at Hertz neighborhood locations nationwide. Customers must, however, book the rental on Hertz dot com using PC code 211636.

To sweeten the deal even further, Hertz is offering 25% off base rates for those who pay for the rental now. 

The United States mid-term elections will take place November 3, 2026. Midterm elections are almost always a referendum on the sitting president and his party, which in this case is President Donald Trump, whose approval ratings sit at record lows. 

Trump’s overall approval rating ranges from 31% to 36% across major national polls driven largely by frustration over the economy, inflation, and gas prices.
