Amtrak announced its new summer sale Tuesday, dubbed the Amtrak Across America flash sale.
The sale offers customers the chance to save up to 30 percent off a standard fare when travel is booked on Amtrak.com before August 3. The deal is valid for travel between August 15 and February 28, 2019.
Travelers will be eligible for the fare savings when booking trips on routes including the Empire Builder, Downeaster, Missouri River Runner, Auto Train, California Zephyr, Capitol Limited, Cardinal, Carolinian/Piedmont, Lake Shore Limited, Silver Service/Palmetto, and Vermonter.
Sample destinations and fares include:

Amtrak offers customers the chance to avoid the congestion of traffic jams while enjoying amenities such as large seats, ample legroom, the freedom to move around and Wi-Fi on many train services.
For passengers with children, Amtrak also offers kids age 2-12 the chance to ride with an adult for half the price of the regular adult fee, but terms and conditions apply.
