Avalon Waterways is expanding its fleet.
The debut of Avalon Envision next year will be Avalon’s 13th riverboat to ply the waterways of Europe and 16th Suite Ship worldwide.
The vessel will be deployed on 10-day “Danube Dreams,” 10-day “Legendary Danube” and 12-day “Blue Danube Discovery” itineraries.
“Avalon’s signature Suite Ships feature 200-square-foot, one-of-a-kind Panorama Suites on two full decks,” said Pam Hoffee, managing director of Avalon Waterways. “For the first time, Avalon’s entire fleet will be made up of Suite Ships, giving our travelers exclusive access to the industry’s only open-air balconies and beds facing the incredible views for which river cruising is famous.”
In August, Avalon announced plans to debut a 36-passenger Suite Ship in Asia – Avalon Saigon, which will sail on itineraries featuring ports in Cambodia and Vietnam – beginning in the fourth quarter of 2018.
