MSC Reveals Entertainment Lineup for New Seaside
Cruise Line & Cruise Ship MSC Cruises Jason Leppert November 21, 2017

Even more is on the way to MSC Cruises’ already anticipated MSC Seaside.
When the new ship launches from Miami, Florida in December 2017, it will have a massive amount of show and venue options onboard to entertain guests.
Leading the charge will be a staggering seven original production shows worthy of Broadway itself hosted in the ship’s 934-seat Metropolitan Theatre. Included will be “My Life in Music” bringing to life movie soundtracks, “The Dream” for fans of vintage musicals, “The Wizard” featuring grand illusions and “Peter Punk” as a modern retelling of “Peter Pan.”
Additionally, there will be half a dozen concerts staged onboard featuring opera and Latin music, as well as piano solos from a house pianist, violinist, soprano and tenor. The onboard company will consist of 14 variety artists, 15 dancers and five singers.
Cruisers will have the opportunity to choose from up to four sittings—a first for MSC. Show times will begin at 6pm.
Comedy lovers will also appreciate the presence of North American troupe BeerProv. Bringing improv humor and sketch comedy to the Metropolitan Theatre will be four comedians in 45-minute sets incorporating audience participation and suggestions. The unscripted one-of-a-kind performances will be scheduled six times per week.
There will also be performances that pop up in the ship’s atrium as well as game shows, flash mobs, karaoke and more.
Building upon MSC’s previous penchant towards interactive play, the Seaside will showcase an F1 racing simulator, XD cinema, a pair of full-sized bowling lanes and plenty of arcade games. Even more thrilling will be two of the longest zip-lines at sea, racing at the back of the ship. Combining both the virtual and physical worlds will also be video game water slide boarding.

Kids will also enjoy two LEGO-branded rooms complete with tens of thousands of the colorful plastic bricks. The Mini Club - LEGO Sailor space is themed to the Caribbean and dedicated to children aged three to six and The Junior Club - LEGO Pirates area is for those seven to eleven with video games and kits. Sailors and pirates are naturally modeled in LEGO form, respectively.
The kids clubs will also be filled with fun 3D printing, VR gaming and 3D product scanning equipment. Parents can check their kids in for free from 9 am until 11 pm on port days, and there are late night group babysitting services available for ages 3 to 11 from 11pm until 2am.
Families can also have fun together thanks to film screenings that will be presented in the theater up to twice per sailing.
Rounding out the kid-friendly programming onboard will be “Buzzer the Game,” an interactive music, pop culture and sports knowledge game show for teams of children and teens.
