Leading ultra-luxury and expedition cruise line Seabourn is set to offer an exceptional lineup of voyages through Northern Europe during the summer of 2025. The Seabourn Sojourn will navigate through the British Isles, Norwegian Fjords and Icelandic coastline, offering travelers an immersive exploration of some of the region’s most captivating destinations with a focus on history, culture and breathtaking landscapes.
From May to August 2025, Seabourn Sojourn will visit more than 40 ports across 12 countries on nine distinct itineraries, ranging from one-week getaways to extended 24-day expeditions. Departing from key hubs like Dover (London), Reykjavik, and Greenock (Glasgow), these voyages promise to highlight the region’s striking landscapes, rich history and cultural treasures. The season will culminate with the 24-day “Route of the Vikings”, tracing the legendary paths of historic seafaring explorers from England to Montreal.

British Isles
Seabourn’s British Isles itineraries provide an intimate glimpse into the history and charm of the region, from the rolling Scottish Highlands to the dramatic castles of South Wales. Travelers can explore quaint harbor towns, historic fortresses and lush countryside while visiting such key ports as:
- Fishguard, Wales – A coastal town known for its rugged beauty, Fishguard offers a gateway to some of South Wales’ most well-preserved medieval castles.
- Oban, Scotland – A tranquil town where visitors can spot grey seals in the harbor and take in spectacular views of Loch Linnhe and Glen Nevis.
- Saint Helier, Jersey – This British Crown Dependency is home to La Mare Wine Estate and the Durrell Wildlife Park, where visitors can see over 130 species, including a renowned group of lowland gorillas.

Norway and Iceland
Norway and Iceland will feature prominently in Seabourn’s summer lineup, offering travelers a deep dive into Viking history, gothic villages and jaw-dropping landscapes. Among the standout ports are:
- Reykjavik, Iceland – The island nation’s dynamic capital blends modern city life with geothermal wonders, including the famous Blue Lagoon.
- Brønnøysund, Norway – A picturesque town surrounded by small scenic islands, with the dramatic Torghatten Mountain standing as a striking landmark.
- Tromsø, Norway – Located 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle, Tromsø offers the chance to experience the Midnight Sun in summer and the Northern Lights in winter.
Featured Shore Excursions
Among the exclusive experiences available to Seabourn guests is the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, a grand spectacle of bagpipers, drummers, marchers and Highland dancers set against the historic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Summer 2026 Northern Europe Voyages
For those planning further ahead, Seabourn Ovation will take over the Northern Europe sailings in Summer 2026, visiting more than 60 destinations across 16 countries with nine itineraries ranging from seven to 22 days. Highlights include:
- A 14-day journey to the North Cape, Europe’s northernmost tip, via the mesmerizing Norwegian Fjords, with departures on May 16 and June 13, 2026. The June sailing also aligns with the Midsummer solstice, offering a perfect opportunity to witness the Midnight Sun.
- The 14-Day West Ireland Gems & Solar Eclipse voyage, featuring a rare at-sea viewing of the August 12, 2026, total solar eclipse with expert commentary from Royal Astronomical Society Fellow Jane A. Green.
- Several 14-day Jewels of the British Isles voyages, which will combine such well-known destinations as Belfast and Edinburgh with smaller gems like Oban, Scotland and Fishguard, Wales.
- The season will come to a close with a special 22-Day Fire & Ice Passage, crossing from Iceland to New York via Greenland in time for the East Coast’s fall foliage season.
