For travelers journeying towards one of the most picturesque places in the world, why not enhance your photo skills while there?
Silversea Expeditions' newly relaunched Silver Cloud is now featuring My Photo Academy in Antarctica.
"Our new photography program is a perfect fit for the immersive expeditions we offer in Antarctica," said Conrad Combrink, SVP Strategic Development Expeditions and Experiences, in a press release. "Voyaging to the bottom of the Earth is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, full of magical moments that we hope to help our guests capture in beautiful images they would be proud to display in their home or office."
The new enrichment program is available in the ship's Photo Studio where guests will find private and group lessons in capturing and editing photos. The indoor sessions will take place between expeditionary moments maximized for the natural subject itself.
Beginner and professional levels of digital imaging will be covered, tackling topics such as an introduction to photography and social media, as well as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop software.
Silver Cloud's distinct Photo Studio was developed in partnership with Galardi Media Network, a Swiss new technologies and multimedia company. The venue showcases both Mac and PC computers-ensuring comfort with either platform-plus photo printers for making easy touch-screen interface prints including panorama- and A2-sized ones for a surcharge.
What's more, passengers can set up 20-minute personal photo lessons on the following topics:
-Smart gear recommendations
-Instruction on proper camera utilization
-Camera menu options
-Assistance with social media and posting: Facebook and Instagram
In polar regions, the Silver Cloud intimately carries only 200 guests, taking them exploring in 16 Zodiacs and 10 kayaks. Always onboard are at least twenty knowledgeable Expedition Team members to give lectures in the expansive Explorer Lounge, run workshops, lead Zodiac and kayak trips and guide nature walks-all of which are available for free.
