Following a trio of 2018 Travvy Award wins, Princess Cruises is looking to make a splash in 2018.
"We are thrilled to have the Travvy Awards honor our destination leadership in Alaska, Australia, and New Zealand," Gordon Ho, senior vice president global marketing for Princess Cruises, said in response to winning the gold for Best Cruise Line - Alaska and the silver for both Best Cruise Line - Australia/New Zealand/South Pacific and Best Cruise Line - Premium. "The recognition speaks to our commitment to providing our guests experiences with cultures and regions around the globe that provide new perspective and inspiration."
Of course, the line is not content with resting on its laurels, and already it is pushing forward.
"Looking at 2018 and beyond, we are eager to unveil many new guest experience innovations and onboard programming initiatives that further enhance our focus on immersing our guests in the destinations they are visiting," added Ho. "Whether eating like a local on uniquely curated shore excursions, learning from locals with our Discovery Encounters speaker series, or celebrating as locals do - Princess will continue to bring regions around the world to life for our guests."
To that end, Princess has most recently introduced its "Rhythm of the Caribbean" program to further immerse its guests in regional culture. New experiences will extend to onboard dining, drinks, and entertainment ranging from fiestas to tropical animal viewing.
The line is also collaborating with Bon Appétit for special culinary shore excursions off the ship. Focusing on local tastes and experiences in conjunction with destination chefs, guests can expect opportunities in the likes of Norway and Alaska.
