Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess has completed a two-week dry dock in Singapore, introducing new accommodations, dining and entertainment options aboard ahead of the ship's upcoming Australian summer season.

The refurbishment brings the cruise line's ship-within-a-ship concept, Sanctuary Collection, to the 3,595-guest vessel, along with a new Irish pub, an expanded cocktail bar and upgrades to several onboard venues.

The addition of the Sanctuary Collection is part of Princess Cruises' broader rollout of the premium accommodations and amenities across five Royal-Class ships. On Royal Princess, the experience includes access to the Sanctuary Club, personalized service and elevated amenities, as well as exclusive dining at the new Sanctuary Restaurant on Deck 6.

Guests can book Sanctuary Collection accommodations in suites, mini-suites, deluxe balcony and balcony staterooms, as well as newly constructed ocean-view staterooms.

The dry dock also added 20 guest cabins to the ship: six mini-suites, seven ocean-view staterooms, two interior staterooms and five single interior staterooms.

Several changes were also made to the ship's Piazza, which has been refreshed with two new or expanded venues. O'Malley's Irish Pub replaces the former Vines location on Deck 5, bringing Irish-inspired food and beverages to the ship. Nearby, Bellini's has expanded into the former Photo Gallery space, creating a larger cocktail bar overlooking the Piazza. The venue serves its signature Bellini-inspired cocktails, champagne, sparkling wines and other specialty beverages.

Other updates include a reconfigured Princess Casino, which now features a more open gaming floor and additional space for slot machines. The redesign also involved removing the staircase connecting Decks 6 and 7 to expand the casino area.

The ship's Effy jewelry boutique has also received a refresh, while The Shops of Princess have been upgraded as part of a transition to new onboard retail partner Starboard.

“The enhancements aboard Royal Princess introduce new accommodations, distinctive venues for entertaining, dining and socializing, and thoughtfully refreshed spaces designed to elevate every aspect of the guest experience,” says Rodrigo Llaguno, chief operating officer of Princess Cruises. “These updates build on the ship’s enduring appeal and our commitment to creating memorable vacations through exceptional experiences and the signature Princess touches our guests have valued since her debut.”

Following the dry dock, Royal Princess heads to Sydney for the 2026-27 Australian summer cruise season. The ship will sail itineraries exploring Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, along with shorter coastal getaways.

Royal Princess is one of three Princess Cruises ships operating in the region during the season, which features 42 unique itineraries and 62 departures.
