WHY IT RATES: The IGLTA Annual Global Convention is marked on the calendars of practically everyone associated with LGBT travel, and this appointment-driven networking event happening concurrently will provide a deeper dive into the industry niche. -Michael Isenbek, TravelPulse Senior Editor
The International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association is now accepting applications for its fourth annual Buyer/Supplier Marketplace, the only global appointment-driven LGBT networking event of its kind for LGBT tourism. Held in conjunction with the IGLTA Annual Global Convention, it creates one-on-one timed meetings between leaders in outbound LGBT tourism bookings and LGBT-welcoming travel providers.
Approved buyers receive complimentary registration to the three-day IGLTA convention, including all educational sessions and evening networking events, in addition to the marketplace. The 2017 Annual Global Convention will be held May 3-6 in St. Petersburg, Florida at the Renaissance Vinoy St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club.
"Our Buyer/Supplier Marketplace has proven to be an extremely popular addition to the convention as our members are always looking for more ways to generate direct LGBT business," IGLTA President/CEO John Tanzella said. "We expect the 2017 marketplace to be the largest yet."
For more information about the IGLTA Annual Global Convention, visit iglta.org/convention or email [email protected]. The Buyer/Supplier Marketplace application is available for download from the IGLTA convention website. Registration for suppliers will open on Sept. 27, World Tourism Day.
