South Florida Holiday Season Hotels for Every Budget
Destination & Tourism Allison Ramirez December 14, 2018

The holiday madness is here and this year you might want to give yourself the gift of peace and quiet (after you’ve finished your Christmas shopping, of course). Or how about the gift of pina coladas, poolside? Sounds like heaven to me. Below, we’ve listed four of our favorite South Florida hotels, some with holiday offers at every price point.
The Perry Hotel Key West
Just a few miles from downtown Key West, this Stock Island property is offering a prix-fixe menu for Christmas and New Year’s Eve at Matt’s Stock Island Kitchen & Bar, as well as a Hangover Brunch on the first day of the New Year.
Thinking of heading to the Keys during the month of January instead? Key West’s annual Food & Wine Festival takes place January 23rd through the 27th, showcasing a diverse series of wine and inventive cuisine around the island’s most iconic locations.
Visitors who want to take part, but also want a relaxing place to retreat from the madness, can stay at the Perry. On January 26th, the hotel will host its second Stock Island Shrimp Boil at the Salty Oyster Dockside Bar & Grill. Guests can sample delicious shellfish, wine and desserts for just $75 each.
Islamorada’s Postcard Inn
This newly reopened hotel, which closed due to Hurricane Irma damage last year, has quite the history with what’s possibly the most infamous tiki bar of all time. Still often referred to as Holiday Isle by locals, Postcard Inn’s hotel, marina and tiki bar debuted almost 70 years ago.
The 151-room resort has now expanded its oceanfront rooms and has added a swim-up bar as well as a dinghy drive-in movie theater, bocce ball courts, fishing classes, the Ciao Hound Italian Kitchen and Bar and more. If you want to visit a little later in the winter, you may be able to snag a seat at the raw bar, which is set to open in February.
Now through April 30th, you can book your room at the reopening rate with up to 30 percent off.
Generator Miami
The Generator Hostel opened its first U.S. property in September and if this isn’t a reason to celebrate, we’re not sure what is. The pop-fantasy resort known for high design and low price points features 300 beds in 105 rooms (you have the option to book a private room or shared accommodations), lobby restaurant The Jim & Neesie, a pool bar, the option for female-only accommodations, a travel shop, yoga classes and much, much more.
This South Beach spot is just 100 feet from the beach and 15 minutes from the airport, housed inside what used to be a classic 1940s-era condo building. Opening rates start at $20 for beds in shared rooms and $95 for private rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Can’t beat that now, can you?
The Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club
This Autograph Collection hotel has been recently revamped and is better than ever after a multi-million dollar renovation. The oceanfront Mid Beach resort in Miami was originally designed almost 80 years ago by a renowned Art Deco architect and has managed to preserve that feeling of 1940s sophistication and glamour.
With two pools (one family friendly and one adults-only) and 357 guest rooms, the Cadillac is fun for everyone, especially snowbirds. Head down to South Beach in the dead of winter and enjoy endless amounts of rosé and sunshine. Rooms start at $179 and if you book two nights now, you’ll get the third one free. You can thank us later.
